CartRescue - Abandoned Cart Emails for OpenCart 4

Email shoppers who left items in their cart and win some of those orders back. Up to three timed reminders, an optional single-use coupon, a recovery link that refills the cart, and a report of the revenue it brought back.

What it does

• Up to 3 reminder emails per cart, sent after hours of inactivity you choose (default 1, 24 and 72 hours), with your own subject and HTML text.
• Recovery link puts the saved items back into the shopper's cart. Clicking twice does not double the items. No auto-login from email links.
• Optional single-use coupon (percentage or fixed amount, valid N days) attached to the email you choose.
• Stops on its own when the shopper orders, empties the cart, unsubscribes, or has already paid through a redirect gateway such as PayPal.
• Consent first: by default only newsletter subscribers are emailed. Every email has an unsubscribe link with a confirmation button, so mail scanners cannot unsubscribe anyone.
• Guests too, once they have typed their email at the first checkout step.
• Report: carts tracked, emails sent, clicks, carts recovered, recovery rate and revenue recovered for any date range.
• No duplicates: one cron run at a time, and each email can be claimed only once per cart.

Requirements

• OpenCart 4.1.0.x (tested on 4.1.0.4 with PHP 8.2 and MySQL 8). Not for OpenCart 3 or 4.0.x.
• OpenCart cron must run at least hourly. One cron job calling your shop's index.php?route=cron/cron URL; the included guide shows how. Without cron, no email is sent.
• A working mail setup in OpenCart. SMTP with SPF/DKIM is strongly recommended.
• Installs through Extensions > Installer. No core files are modified, no external service.

Limitations

• Default store only. English admin and storefront pages. One set of email texts for all languages.
• Emails show product name, quantity and picture, not prices.
• Guests who leave before typing an email cannot be reminded.
• Delivery depends on your mail server and domain reputation.
